What You Gonna Tell a Sinner if You’re a Sinner? 3-19-26

This is what many people don’t know about the blood of Jesus and what its whole purpose is. It is to cleanse us from sin. In fact, the precious blood of Jesus which has never lost its power to cleanse, the blood cleanses us from our past present and future sins. Jesus paid it all with His BLOOD!
1) The Penalty of Sin- We were delivered from the penalty of sin when Jesus died on the cross, was buried, and He rose from the dead (scrip). We are no longer in a sinful state; sin separates people from God. But by the grace of God, I am what I am, and His grace toward me was not in vain; but I labored more abundantly than they all, yet not I, but the grace of God which was with me.
Therefore, whether it was I or they, so we preach and so you believed. Now if Christ is preached that He has been raised from the dead, how do some among you say that there is no resurrection of the dead? But if there is no resurrection of the dead, then Christ is not risen. And if Christ is not risen, then our preaching is empty and your faith is also empty (1 Corinthians 15:10-14).
2) The Power of Sin – We are being delivered from the power of sin. Sin no longer has dominion over us; the Holy Spirit has empowered us to live victoriously. Therefore, sin has no power over us, we have power over sin. For sin shall not have dominion over you, for you are not under law but under grace (Romans 6:14).
Thank be to the Lord God Almighty for His all sufficient grace that goes beyond any sin we commit. When we confess our sins, it frees us from being in bondage to unconfessed sins.
3) The Presence of Sin – We will be delivered from the presence of sin when we get to heaven. We are living in a sinful world, not a sinful state of being; our flesh is affected by this evil environment. One day we will not be in the presence of sin because we will lice in a perfect environment with Jesus and all His saints throughout eternity.
And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying. There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away. Then He who sat on the throne said, “Behold, I make all things new.” And He said to me, “Write, for these words are true and faithful” (Revelation 21:4-5).
Now that you know about the penalty, power, and presence of sin, what are you gonna to tell a sinner is you are a still a sinner? Sinners cannot share the Gospel of Jesus Christ. But the natural [unsaved] man does not receive the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; nor can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned (1 Corinthians 2:14). Born again believers are commanded to carry the Gospel of Jesus Christ (Matthew 28:19-20).
What do you think they will say?
If it were me, I’d say
“If you are still a sinner, why do I need to get saved?”
That just doesn’t make sense; yet I reside in an area where some leaders say, “We are sinners” That is erroneous doctrine, it is misleading and a ball of confusion. If a born again believer still says he or she is a sinner. They do not understand who they are in Christ, and that is sad!
To be an effective witness for Christ your testimony of how you became born again as well as scriptures relating to salvation- Confession and belief.....Romans 10:9-10. Saved by grace through faith, not works......Ephesians 2::8-9.
Your witnessing does not need to be long and drawn out but simple enough for the hearer to understand and receive. You are one of the ones who plant or water (witness), but God alone can bring salvation. So then neither he who plants is anything, nor he who waters, but God who gives the increase [salvation] (1 Corinthians 3:7).
Don’t forget to tell them that you were in the same state of being BUT, it is by the grace of God you are what you are!
