After posting messages four days this week about salvation, what it means and the only way one can be saved, below are a few questions for the readers.
This is to help you to know if you are saved; to know that proper training in the Word of God gives a better understanding which leads to intimacy with Him.
It is absolutely necessary to trust God and lean to your own understanding (Proverbs 3:5-6). Even though you’re as saved as you will ever be, but it’s important to grow in grace and in knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ (2 Peter 3:18).
Are you sure of your salvation?
You can be saved and still not be sure!
Are you confused when it comes to the truth about who Jesus Christ is?
I have the Holy Spirit and I had a teacher
Meaning, are you listening this person and that person rather than allowing the Holy Spirit and the five ministry offices given by Jesus to teach you (John 14:26, 16:13, Ephesians 4:11), train and develop you to help you from being tossed here and there and swayed by every wind of doctrine (Ephesians 4:11-16). Do you understand how important it is to allow the Spirit of God direct you into all truth?
Paul had an unusual experience. Although each person's experience is different; some may not be like Paul’s, but each of us knew that a change had taken place.
My Experience: It was on a Monday morning, March 15, 1982, when I received Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior.
The next Sunday, I went to the altar and confessed what had happened to the pastor. He was excited and told the church about me coming into a personal relationship with Jesus.
A few years later, while still a babe in Christ, the devil would try to make me think that I wasn’t saved. However, my walk with the Lord was so meaningful to me that the devil couldn’t make me doubt or question my salvation. When the thought would come up, I would remember that special and most important day of my life.
What kind of experience did you have?
How do you know you are truly saved?
Are you sure if your life ended, you would go to be with the Lord?
The relationship with Jesus is not about how often you go to church. Or if you work, work, and continue to work faithfully in the church. Going to church and working in the church is something that comes after the call of salvation. But works cannot save anyone.
The order: Salvation- first step: Notice that Jesus breathe on His disciples after He rose from the dead. And when He had said this, He breathed on them, and said to them,
“Receive the Holy Spirit" (John 20:22).
Second Step; the Word of Jesus- - “Behold, I send the Promise of My Father upon you; but tarry in the city of Jerusalem until you are endued with power from on high” (Luke 24:49).
If you understand this, then press forward in your walk with the Lord. If you don't understand, ask someone who you believe can explain how to be saved and what it means to be saved.
