A Faithful Son's Heartfelt Journey to Honor His Mother 5-22-26

True Love in Motion

Barbara and Vernon- A son’s love for his mother is still being proved by his actions. Praise the Lord for such a wonderful goddaughter who I met around 1991 and our connection has been ongoing from the very day that the Lord ordained for us to have that relationship. It started in Camden, New Jersey and came back full circle physically after I relocated back to Jersey.

This story/testimony is about a son’s love for his mother and how it is still being proved by his actions. Jesus loved His mother and when it was time for Him to go to the cross, He made sure that John would take care of Mary.

 Now there stood by the cross of Jesus His mother, and His mother’s sister, Mary the wife of Clopas, and Mary Magdalene.  When Jesus therefore saw His mother, and the disciple whom He loved standing by, He said to His mother, 

“Woman, behold your son!”  Then He said to the disciple, 

“Behold your mother!” And from that hour that disciple took her to his own home (John 19:25-27).

Vernon is taking care of his mother by honoring her in the most unique ways, and he is to be commended for every unselfish effort in showing love to his mother (Barbara), father (Donald, who is incapacitated).

Vernon is truly a testimony of what a faithful, dedicated, and LOVING son is to his mother; he is quite unusual. When he graduated from High school, employment could have been opened to him where his mother work, but Vernon had a heart for skateboarding. Barbara encouraged her son in his endeavors to become a professional skateboarder, and he has been very successful.

This young man has taken his mother to just about every corner of the globe; he truly is amazing! Although they live thousands of miles away from each other, Vernon visits Donald and Barbara regularly.

 Vernon is an amazing son who has an amazing mother; fruit don’t fall far from the tree. The strong moral upbringing of how this mother basically raised her son single handed has really paid off!

This is what Vernon is doing according to the Word of God:  “Honor your father and your mother, that your days may be long upon the land which the Lord your God is giving you (Exodus 20:12, Ephesians 6:2).
