Are Christians Cursed if They Don’t Tithe? 7-10-26

Disobedience is Sin!
The question was asked if Christians who do not tithe are cursed and it would seem contradictory when Jesus became the curse for us when He hung on the tree. Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us. For it is written, Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree (Galatians 3:13). The scripture about being cursed is in Malachi 3:8-11.
Even though the children of God are not under the curse, any act of disobedience brings consequences. Let’s see what the cursed mean in our day from a Biblical perspective.
Charles Stanley quote- Persistent disobedience can create barriers in our relationship with Him.
AI- Disobedience to God's commands is viewed as a violation of His will. Sin is defined as any action that goes against God's laws and teachings.
In Malachi, the command was to bring all the tithes and offerings; no short cutting or cheating God. Some say that tithing is not for today and they use this scripture: Upon the first day of the week let every one of you lay by him in store, as God hath prospered him, that there be no gatherings when I come (1 Corinthians 16:2).
But this I say: He who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and he who sows bountifully will also reap bountifully. So let each one give as he purposes in his heart, not grudgingly or of necessity; for God loves a cheerful giver. And God is able to make all grace abound toward you, that you, always having all sufficiency in all things, may have an abundance for every good work. As it is written: He has dispersed abroad, He has given to the poor; His righteousness endures forever (2 Corinthians 9:6-9).
I cannot understand why there is such controversy among the children of God when it comes to tithes and offerings, especially when God owns everything (one hundred percent)-(Psalm 24:1, Psalm 50:10-11). Even though the New Testament reads somewhat differently than the old covenant, the principle is still the same.
It is called sowing and reaping, which started from the beginning of man kind. Then God blessed them, and God said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply; fill the earth and subdue it; have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over every living thing that moves on the earth.” (Genesis 1:28). That means they had to sow in order to reap. Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap (Galatians 6:7).
Not only that, but we are also commanded to give from the gross of our income. Honor the Lord with your possessions, and with the first fruits of all your increase; so, your barns will be filled with plenty (Proverbs 3:9-10).
Principle- 1) barn will be filled with plenty.
Principle 2) open the windows of heaven and pour out blessing that there will not be room enough to receive it.
Principle 3) Sow bountifully, reap bountifully!
I have been tithing for almost forty four years of giving offerings, and I’m walking in the fulness of my blessings. Try God and see what happens!
