In continuing writing as the Holy Spirit guides, I said last week that my readership had gone down. However, when the Spirit of God prompts me to write, I will obey because the Word of God will not return to Him empty. If only one person gets set free, that is what matters.

For as the rain comes down, and the snow from heaven, And do not return there, But water the earth, And make it bring forth and bud, That it may give seed to the Sower And bread to the eater,

So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth; It shall not return to Me void, But it shall accomplish what I please, And it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it (Isiah 55:10-11).

Let’s get to how God has positioned His children.

Righteousness or Righteous- There was an exchange, a transformation, which turned into righteousness. We took on the righteousness of Christ. For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him (2 Corinthians 5:21).

Question:

When a caterpillar turns into a butterfly, will it ever be a caterpillar again?

Answer:

The butterfly was a caterpillar but can never be one again. Therefore, the butterfly like the human who has been transformed into a new person, can never be the old person again, even if the human part is capable of sinning, it still has been made new.

However, there are two aspects of righteousness 1) Positional; God positions us and that can never change. 2) Practical; God has given us the responsibility to walk in righteousness, which we must practice daily. Can a person be righteous and unrighteous at the same time? Of course they can’t? That does not make sense.

Holy or holiness- We were positioned into holiness at the onset of salvation – when God said “Be holy as I am holy, He was talking about how we conduct ourselves (practicing holiness in our walk).

When Paul addressed saved people as saints, or called to be saints, we were never sinners after our salvation, even though we sin (1 John 1:9), we are not sinners.

If a sinner falls down can he get up?

No!

As long as he is a sinner, he will remain a sinner until or if he is born again.

When a saints falls he gets up. The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord, and He delights in his way. Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down; for the Lord upholds him with His hand (Psalm 37:23-24).

Therefore, the ungodly shall not stand in the judgment, for sinners in the congregation of the righteous. For the Lord knows the way of the righteous, but the way of the ungodly shall perish (Psalm 1:5-6).

If anyone who professes to be a Christian, born again, saved and still think they are a sinner, then you really don’t understand salvation.
