Honoring a Man Who Made a Difference
In life people are prone to say negative things regardless of the difference others have made to have a positive influence. I always try to see the good (positive) in every situation, rather than looking for the bad (negative).
If we haven’t walked in another person’s shoes, then it’s best to keep our mouths off them. I am saying this because over the years some negative things have surfaced about Martin Luther King Jr. If the truth were to be told, how can the pot call the kettle black! Are there any perfect human beings on this earth?
What does the Word of God say?
Hypocrite! First remove the plank from your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother’s eye (Matthew 7:5). Many times, when we point our finger at someone, others are pointing fingers at us; so be careful not to judge someone unrighteously.
Back in the day, this song was sung in some churches: Talk about me as much as you please, I’ll talk about you, on my knees. People who have a tendency to criticize others are unhappy themselves.
I esteem the service and life of Martin Luther King Jr, and memories of the good the Lord used him to serve mankind will remain. Thank the Lord for using him to make a great difference in many lives.
