“Let the Church Say Amen!”
This is the day that the Lord has made, I am rejoicing and glad in it (Psalm 118:24). O’ magnify the Lord with me, let us exalt His Name together (Psalm 34:3).
I was glad when they said unto me, let us go into the house of the Lord” Why? Behold how good and pleasant it is brothers [sisters] to join together in unity (Psalm 133:1)
I assemble with the saints through church service, three or four Bible study groups. not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching (Hebrews 10:25).
Caution!
Isolating oneself from other brothers and sisters is dangerous; the devil loves to get us alone!
Two are better than one, because they have a good reward for their labor. For if they fall, one will lift up his companion. But woe to him who is alone when he falls, for he has no one to help him up (Ecclesiastes 4::9-10).
Being in fellowship keeps me accountable and gives me more awareness of my responsibility to The Lord God and to others, whether they are saved or unsaved.
What do I mean by the saved and unsaved?
To the saved, I do everything possible to shine and and not be a stumbling block to a weaker brother or sister. Therefore, let us pursue the things which make for peace and the things by which one may edify another. Do not destroy the work of God for the sake of food. All things indeed are pure, but it is evil for the man who eats with offense. It is good neither to eat meat nor drink wine nor do anything by which your brother stumbles or is offended or is made weak (Romans 14:19-21).
When it comes to the unsaved, I do my best (not perfect) to shine brightly. “You are the salt of the earth; but if the salt loses its flavor, how shall it be seasoned? It is then good for nothing but to be thrown out and trampled underfoot by men.
“You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden. Nor do they light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a lampstand, and it gives light to all who are in the house. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven (Matthew 5:13-16).
FYI - I was in pain most of the night, but God helped me to get up and go to church.
