I will bless the Lord and His praise shall continually be in my mouth, in the midst of what seems to be unfavorable circumstances. Why? Regardless of what does not seem to be good it works out for my good (Romans 8:28). It is not only for our good, but the experiences are beneficial and encouraging to others.
We know that God never does anything to hurt us. For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end (Jeremiah 29:11), and with that being so, we learn to accept whatever comes our way.
These are a few experiences that I overcame last year: the breast cancer diagnosis; a procedure on my eye, diagnosed with scoliosis (unremarkable; mild), a nephew passed suddenly, who was like my little brother, my teacher of the Word and “Bestie” passed suddenly, Nell, a close family connected beloved passed, one of the young men (Justin), who was under my leadership when I was Youth Minister, his mother (Pam), my cousin (Pam) and several others.
These were rough times for me and other families, yet through it all, God kept you and me. He uses yours and my story/testimony for His glory! That’s why I can praise and thank God every day; He been too good to me and no rocks are going to cry out because I won’t tell of His goodness.
Last Thanksgiving I was not able to drive because of breast surgery on November 9, 2023, but one of my nieces drove my “Bestie” and me to be with some other family members for a scrumptious meal and a wonderful time of fellowship. Who would ever imagine that it would be the last time we would see one of our dearly beloved again?
Yesterday’s message had no photos or names, it was not because I didn’t was fearful or intimidated by what someone would say; there were too many names and pictures to be posted. But today I am using a few names along with Albert’s name because that was the last time we saw him; and for us this is most memorable.
I thank God for allowing Albert to be with us. I offer thanks to the Lord, because none of us know we will take our last breath. Even though some of yours and my other loved ones are no longer with us, let’s keep thanking the Lord and sharing His goodness.
I’m going to share until my time is over on this earth. God has given me a platform to minister by way of the internet, and I will continue to tell of His goodness through my mouth and my writings.
Be encouraged and think of all the great things the Lord has done; in doing that you will also say, “Every Day is a Day of Thanksgiving”
Grace and peace,
