Are You Denying The Power of God!
Guess who can be fooled (deceived) quicker than men? Women of, Course! Husbands, likewise, dwell with them with understanding, giving honor to the wife, as to the weaker vessel, and as being heirs together of the grace of life, that your prayers may not be hindered (1 Peter 3:7).
Paul wrote to Timothy who was a young pastor in Ephesus. Timothy was surrounded by false teachings, and he was being persecuted for his belief. Paul is encouraging him to remain strong in the faith. Paul also suffered because he didn’t conform to the world. or this reason I also suffer these things; nevertheless, I am not ashamed, for I know whom I have believed and am persuaded that He is able to keep what I have committed to Him until that Day (2 Timothy 1:12).
But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come: For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, brutal, despisers of good, traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, having a form of godliness but denying its power.
And from such people turn away! For of this sort are those who creep into households and make captives of gullible women loaded down with sins, led away by various lusts, always learning and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth (2 Timothy 3:1-7).
A few of the words listed:
Lovers of themselves -they are selfish; all they care about is themselves. Lovers of money - Some these people seemed to operate strongly in the prophetic and they were quite impressive, until they starting asking for money. They come up with the word first and get the people enthused and they have used their bait to deceive people.
Unloving- notice when a prophetic word comes; the person does conduct themselves in a loving way. Example: I have a Word from the Lord! God said: ……this is also a prideful, headstrong, and haughty person
High-minded- headstrong, haughty; to be self conceited, lifted up with pride, arrogant. They are known by their fruit!
Many of these people always have a word for somebody- only speaking for myself since there are different aspects of the prophetic. My prophetic call includes much intercession and going to leaders with warnings; to bring correction which ends up protecting the church from allowing the enemy to have more influence; this results in edifying and building the body of Christ up, rather than tearing it down.
I have warned people who operate in the prophetic that every time the Lord gives them something, certain things should be considered before just blurting it out. For instance, the Lord may just want you to intercede (this can stop catastrophes). He could use someone else; also, the timing can be off, wait and get directions from the Holy Spirit. Jumping ahead of God can be very damaging.
As was written above, these people are operating in their own power and the Holy Spirit is definitely not involved. Are you going to follow after the Holy Spirit. It’s like this; when the Word of God say to seek Him and His Kingdom …….(Matthew 6:33), the principle is to seek the Word of God first rather than a person, and your answer will come the way the Lord chooses to reveal it to you.
Call to Me, and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty things, which you do not know’ (Jeremiah 33:3).
