Just Keep Saying Yes to Jesus, It will Lead You to the Exact Place You Need to be 10-29-24

What does it mean to say yes to Jesus? He taught His disciples to obey His commands. These are some of Jesus’ commands – “do this”

1)      Love- If you love Me, keep My commandments (John 14:15). Peter said to Him, “Even if I have to die with You, I will not deny You!” And so said all the disciples (Matthew 26:35).

2)      Study- Jesus taught principles. How do we understand what Agape (unconditional love) is unless we study? As Jesus taught, how can we understand unless there is a teacher- anyone who is born again can teach what he or she has learned. And how can anyone preach unless they are sent?

As it is written: “How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!” (Romans 10:15), the Holy Spirit- However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come (John 16:13), and personal study- Study to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth  (2 Timothy 2:15).

3)      Pray- how can we pray effectively if we don’t know the Word? The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much.  Elijah was a man with a nature like ours, and he prayed earnestly that it would not rain; and it did not rain on the land for three years and six months (James 5:16b-17).

4)      Enter- When Jesus told His disciples to enter, it was a command “You strive to enter” - “Enter by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it. Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it (Matthew 7:13-14).

Remember this, saints, Jesus was talking to His disciples who were born again. He was telling them to take the “Sold out” (the hard way, which is worth it), because many carnal Christians take the broad way which leads to destruction, which means they will suffer loss when it comes to ruling and reigning with Christ in the eternal realm. The narrow gate is purposeful, intense, and it is a struggle that is well worth it.

5)      Go- Every born again believer is commanded to take the Gospel of Jesus Christ in any area that the door of opportunity opens. Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,  teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Amen (Matthew 28:19-20).

Jesus has the Word to life- He is the Word- But Simon Peter answered Him, “Lord, to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life. Also, we have come to believe and know that You are the Christ, the Son of the living God” (John 6:68-69).

The only way we say yes to Jesus is through our actions, talk is cheap, and faith without works is dead.  You see then that a man is justified by works, and not by faith only. Likewise, was not Rahab the harlot also justified by works when she received the messengers and sent them out another way? (James 2:24-25).

I find it extremely rewarding to keep saying yes to Jesus!
