I heard many people say

“Give me my flowers while I live”

I definitely agree and since it has happened over and over again to me, I want to share with you today how I’ve been blessed with so many beautiful floral arrangements. I was with a family who had a memorial service for their loved ones. After the service everyone gathered for a repast and fellowship, including another resident at the apartment complex where several of us reside. They had food galore, and the fellowship was a blessing.

On display were several floral arrangements. Certain ones were taken by family members, and nobody wanted the others. So, guess who the blessings fell on? Me, of course! I was not only a recipient those beautiful bouquets, but about a week later, who visited me but two of my bonus children with two more flowers. I have all types of flowers- artificial, dried roses from the bonus children about a year ago. I never had a paper floral arrangement before; this was quite unique.

The second part of the story: Recently there were some  health problems that needed attention, so this week they were taken care of and this is the outcome: On Wednesday, the PCP wrote a referral for x-rays of my lower back, Thursday, there was an appointment with ophthalmologist; Friday, appointment with the dietician, and the x-rays were Friday. I am waiting for the results; they were taken because of lower  pain and sciatica. From what was on the patient portal chart something other than what they were checking for was seen.

On October first I am scheduled to have a mammogram, an ultrasound and a dexa (body density scan). I tell people on a regular basis that age brings about a change; things seem to pop up on a regular basis, but I don’t complain, I am just explaining.  After saying that, wouldn’t you want your flowers where you can see them, enjoy the beauty and the fragrance?

Maybe that’s why the Lord flooded my with flowers in the last couple of weeks.

Instead of flowers at my appointment with the dietician who has been helping me with the proper diet plan (simple sugar, low glycemic) since March 2024, she gave me my props for keeping it moving until the back issue a couple of weeks ago; she was so proud of how I basically stuck to the plan and how it has benefited me physically, mentally,  and certainly spiritually. The more physical and mental fit I am, the better I can concentrate on spiritual things which I am passionate about. In essence, Robin (dietician) gave me flowers and it motivated me to keep it moving!

I am filled with joy the way the Lord has blessed me with a great team of people in the medical field. I trust Him to put the right people in my path who have my health at heart and it is working.

The moral of this story today, is whatever happens with this aged body, God is in control, and “It ain’t over til He says it’s over” I am going to trust Him with my whole heart and wait for a greater testimony for “HIS Glory”
