This woman of God has been in my life since the year of two thousand and it has been a journey that flourished over the years whether near or far. Little did we both know about my connection with some of her immediate family that goes back many years prior to us meeting each other.

I knew her brothers, one of her sisters, some in laws, nephews, nieces, and her cousin who was one of my best friends. Many of them are no longer here, however, I am closely connected to her nephew, Kenneth Jr “Magoo” who is like a nephew.

Our beginnings: We ended up becoming members of the same church, and from that time we have interacted; Pat and her husband Hodgist were involved in my plays, and they were very supportive of me. After getting to know Pat, I found out who she really was and how she was related to some of the people I was close to for many years.

Her oldest brother, his family and I were like close kin. I’ve been on a few funeral programs; two of Pat’s brothers and her niece. When she threw those elaborate birthday parties for her husband (Hodgist), I was there.

All of my involvement with Pat was absolutely wonderful. I know her to be straightforward but in a way that is not offensive, and she takes life seriously.

I remember Pat being there for me when my mother was hospitalized; she would show up at the hospital to observe and would report back to me.

Patricia was there when my mother passed away and was willing to using her nursing experience to minister to my family at mother’s “Going Home” service.

Everything about our relationship as sisters in Christ has been edifying. One of the most recognizable points about Pat is the gift of prophecy which has been very encouraging and edifying. She prophesied to me how someone was going to influence others to turn against me and it came to pass.

I wish others would function in their gifts, that’s what the Lord wants them to do. Sadly, most people don’t know what their gifts are.

Sister Patricia, if I never told you before, today is the day to tell you what important roles you played in my life.

God bless you and continue that good work the Lord started in you.

Lovingly submitted,
