I was challenged on the Judgment of Christ (Part one and two). So, before proceeding further with other messages, I am going to put forth every effort to answer each question to the best of my ability.

The reason is, somebody else may have the same question, and they need an answer too.  But sanctify [set yourself apart] the Lord God in your hearts and always be ready to give a defense to everyone who asks you a reason for the hope that is in you, with meekness and fear (1 Peter 3:15). I embrace the challenges; they make me study even more in setting myself apart to the Lord that I may dig deeper!

Before we get to the challenges, there are a few things that are essential to our walk with the Lord and understanding them helps us to become more intimate with Him. Out of my forty three years of being born again, it was approximately eight years ago that I was taught about the two perspectives- God’s and ours. It was not easy to come out of a mindset that was instilled many years previous to my understanding. Yet, I realized that it took trusting God fully, in order to come into His way of thinking.

1)     First and foremost, God’s perspective is more important than ours. God sees things completely clear; He has never had a beginning nor will He ever end- He is Eternal, the Everlasting One. God has always known everything-

For You formed my inward parts; You covered me in my mother’s womb.  I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; marvelous are Your works, and that my soul knows very well.  My frame was not hidden from You (Psalm 139:13-15a). God knows everything about us; the hairs on our head are numbered (Matthew 10:30, Luke 12:7). God calls us His workmanship [masterpieces] (Ephesians 2:10). What an Incredible God! That’s how much our Father thinks of us.

He knew us before He made us, the Lord God had a relationship with those whom He ordained to be born again (Jeremiah 1:5). Not only that, but the All-Knowing Omniscience God also ordained Jeremiah to be a prophet to he nations, while he was in his mother’s womb. Paul, the apostle said something similar: But when it pleased God, who separated me from my mother’s womb and called me through His grace (Galatians 1:15).

2)    Our understanding is cloudy. It is important to trust God and do not lean to our own understanding because His ways and thoughts are so much higher than ours. In other words, God has a perspective which is clear, and we have a perspective which is cloudy due to our natural environment, but God wants us to see ourselves as He sees us, as spiritual people, from His perspective.

These two verses are quite befitting in our walk with Christ being that there is so much we don’t understand about God. Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths (Proverbs 3:5-6). We must be careful that we do not rely on our own wisdom/understanding or our abilities. When that happens we leave the Lord out, which is dangerous and could lead to a road of many sorrows. How can the Lord direct our paths if we are not acknowledging Him for who He is.
