No Greater Love Than the One Who Laid Down His Life to Save Souls

Jesus Loves You and Me 10-23-24

When I think of the song “Jesus loves me this I know for the Bible tells me so” it feels my heart with joy!

There are so many ways Jesus’ love is expressed.  The number one way  that His Love expressed to humanity was the the death by crucifixion on the cross, which was the worse kind of death.

One of the definitions from Wikipedia - Crucifixion was intended to be a gruesome spectacle: the most painful and humiliating death imaginable.[82][83] It was used to punish slaves, pirates, and enemies of the state. It was originally reserved for slaves (hence still called "supplicium servile" by Seneca), and later extended to citizens of the lower classes (humiliores).[29] The victims of crucifixion were stripped naked[29][84] and put on public display[85][86] while they were slowly tortured to death so that they would serve as a spectacle and an example.[82][83]

That horrible death was because of the hatred some people had for Him.

Jesus Is Mocked, Beaten, Spit On, And Crucified

And the soldiers led Him away inside the palace (that is, the Praetorium[a]). And they call together the whole [Roman] cohort[b].  And they dress Him in a purple[ccloak. And having woven a crown made-of-thorns, they set it on Him. And they began to greet Him, “Hail[d], King of the Jews!” And they were striking His head with a staff, and spitting-on Him. And while putting down their knees, they were paying homage to Him.  And when they mocked Him, they stripped the purple cloak off Him and put His garments on Him. And they lead Him out in order that they might crucify Him (Mark 15:16-20).

Yet, He is still considered a mere prophet by some, and He is not acknowledged as the Savior; Jesus also is called a little god by some, because they refuse to acknowledge Him as the Word; God in the flesh. He was one hundred percent God and one hundred percent human. He came in the flesh to identify with us.

That’s love that is not compared to any other. With that being so, I can attest to the fact that Jesus Christ loves you, you, and me. We should be forever grateful for all our Savior did for us.
