For the next few days, the theme scripture for the messages will be “I have no greater joy than to hear that my children walk in truth” (3 John 4). Last Saturday the scripture came into my spirit as I was pondering what was appropriate concerning my niece who was graduating from Discipleship School.
I thought about my messages that have been written for encourage to motivate the readers to move forward; what they don’t hear in church, and correction which also convicts and after being convinced that the Word of God is the only TRUE Facts, and that the readers will have a new mindset. It is meant to turn the heart of people who are taking whatever they hear for Gospel, and to walk in freedom. In other words, correction edifies.
During the many years of walking with the Lord, life was not peaches and cream; not being perfect in these flesh bodies, but the heart wants to do what is right. With that being said, I will use Matthew 5:44 about the things that Satan used against me, but I am still standing despite the opposition and challenges. They come now, but spiritual growth has helped me to handle them better- I give praises and honor to the Spirit of God.
I have been around many people who profess to be born again, but their light is dim, dim! For instance, they think it is not wrong to sin, because all they have to do is ask God to forgive them. That is dangerous and whoever believes that is being deceived by the devil, or they have strongholds that hold them back because they are bound and have not been delivered in certain areas. All of us are dealing with something because none of us cross every T and dot every I.
However, to deliberately do something (carefully thought through) and say “I will ask God to forgive me” or “God will forgive me is premeditated.
Dictionary- Premeditated (of an action, especially a crime) thought out or planned beforehand: done after being thought about or carefully planned. . Merriam Webster dictionary - characterized by fully conscious willful intent and a measure of forethought and planning.
That is deliberate sin. Do you realize how severe premeditation is? Let’s look at it from a legal standpoint:
In the court of law premeditated murder is one of the most serious charges one can face, carrying severe legal consequences.
I am not saying premeditated sin is the same as premeditated murder; I’m saying that deliberate sin is dangerous and the consequences are severe.
Example: Read the story about king David and hoe he preplanned being with Bathsheba who was another man’s wife and he also planned how to get rid of her husband, Uriah (2 Samuel, chapters 11-12). AND, what’s more! The sword never left his house – all kinds of things happened in his family (2 Samuel 12:10-14).
We are told to restore those who are overtaken in a fault (Galatians 6:1); but they must be willing to allow you and the Lord to help them. "As obedient children, do not conform to the passions of your former ignorance. But just as He who called you is holy, so be holy in all you do, for it is written: 'Be holy, because I am holy.'"1 Peter 1:14-16.
We are accountable to each other, and we are call to judge those who are sinning; God judges the unsaved (1 Corinthians, chapter 5). Key verses: Immorality Must Be Judged: I wrote to you in my epistle not to keep company with sexual immoral people. Yet I certainly did not mean with the sexually immoral people of this world, or with the covetous, or extortioners, or idolaters, since then you would need to go out of the world.
But now I have written to you not to keep company with anyone named a brother, who is sexually immoral, or covetous, or an idolater, or a reviler, or a drunkard, or an extortioner—not even to eat with such a person (1 Corinthians 5:9-11).
My public proclamation is
“I will not compromise my spiritual values no matter what comes against me." Those who compromise with evil; it will come back to haunt you. What would you rather do, gain friends and their approval, and miss your rewards in heaven, or would you be willing to suffer and lose friendship and gain rewards in heaven? If God is for me who can be against me? (Romans 8:31) He is greater than all!
