Hey now, it was an awesome time of fellowship mingling together at our first “Tea Party”
Everybody jumped on board to contribute and show love to one another and to our leaders, who so graciously accommodated us wherever the need was. The finger foods were delicious and so plentiful that much was leftover but not wasted.
It reminded me of the twelve baskets that was leftover in the miracle that Jesus performed (little finger foods- no fish, but plenty chicken fingers). One of His disciples, Andrew, Simon Peter’s brother, said to Him, “There is a lad here who has five barley loaves and two small fish, but what are they among so many?”
Then Jesus said, “Make the people sit down.” Now there was a lot of grass in the place. So, the men sat down, in number about five thousand. And Jesus took the loaves, and when He had given thanks He distributed them to the disciples, and the disciples to those sitting down; and likewise of the fish, as much as they wanted. So, when they were filled, He said to His disciples, “Gather up the fragments that remain, so that nothing is lost.” [leftover](John 6:8-12)
Another blessing that came with the event is we also were able to kill two birds with one stone; that is two events were celebrated jointly. That’s what I consider being sensitive to everybody, whatever the situation may be. Jesus took care of everyone’s needs, and we should be willing and available to take care of each other’s need. Why? Because the Lord has blessed us to be a blessing to others.
We are thriving seasoned and still rising seniors. Paul, one of the members at our center, calls us the “Recycled Teenagers”
Love our senior group!
