On Thursday, October 30, the seniors had a brunch/party. They had fun being dressed in different costumes that portrayed a “Hobo,” a “Butterfly” “Little Red Riding Hood” while some actually portrayed “Halloween” characters like the “witch.” Then some just wore cute outfits that were similar to what I consider a queen. I hope you get the drift, and others like me wore their usual clothes. Nevertheless, it was a good mixture as we mingled together.

There was a variety of delicious food; (cabbage, mac and cheese, different kinds of chili, toss salad, macaroni salad, pasta salad, meatballs, (and more); plenty dessert, and everybody got their fill. Those few hours were enjoyable and everybody was full of laughter. It was a “Happy Day” for all involved. I cannot leave out those who the Lord used to make our Lindenwold Senior Center such a blessed place to go and be blessed with people coming in to educate the seniors to keep us aware of the benefits that are available.
Although much is offered to people who live where I do, they are educated about the same benefits, it is good to get that reinforcement. After all, as seniors we do have those moments. The fast pace of time that we live in affects the memories of most ages.
On that note, on behalf of the seniors, thanks to Camden County, the Borough of Lindenwold, the managers, and those who transport seniors to the Center.
What to take from the message: I always look to see if there is something that connects with the Word of God. Although, some do not profess to be saved, they acted better than some Christians. This verse came to me about the experience with the seniors at our brunch/party: “Behold how good and how pleasant it is for brothers [sisters] to dwell together in unity [come together] (Psalm 133:1)."
Please learn a lesson from this and allow the Lord to deal with your hearts if you are not in Christian oneness with your brothers and sisters. We are called to be lights to the ungodly; don’t let them put us to shame.

Love expressed is the Best!
