Yesterday was a blessing indeed as White Oak Baptist Church and St. Mark AME Church in Lindenwold teamed up to serve a delicious meal to tenants in Lindenwold Towers. The outreach of two denominational churches being unified was commendable.

The combined ministries on yesterday was a Psalm 133 - Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity! Neither of these churches is considered mega, but their hearts are BIG!

Pastor Cedric Holmes and members of his church delivered the food, and it was plentiful. Pastor Holmes and his church have been ministering “Let’s Talk the Bible” weekly to tenants at Lindenwold Towers for three years. So, it’s not just on Thanksgiving that they serve, it is all year long in various ways.

Also, some tenants have such a giving heart. Ann loves to bake, so she contributed some delicious banana bread, and Harriet had little Thanksgiving trinkets that were given to everybody who came through the door; management sacrificed their time to come and help serve. Everyone expressed their gratitude to all who contributed, in whatever way.

To sum it up, every good deed was a blessing to us, “We want to express our most heartfelt thanks to each of you for your service.” For God is not unjust to forget your work and labor of love which you have shown toward His name, in that you have ministered to the saints, and do minister (Hebrews 6:10).

Ps. I wanted to be involved, so I did the usual, took pictures that would go along with the story, and I was able to spend time with my nephew by tagging along with him to deliver food to some of the tenants.

What to take away- If there is any division among brothers and sisters in Christ, please do whatever possible to restore your fellowship with each other. We may not agree with with one another about everything, but we should let brotherly LOVE continue and most of all Agape (unconditionally) love be in our hearts.

Be kindly affectionate to one another with brotherly love, in honor giving preference to one another;  not lagging in diligence, fervent in spirit, serving the Lord;  rejoicing in hope, patient in tribulation, continuing steadfastly in prayer; distributing to the needs of the saints, given to hospitality (Romans 12:10-13).

If someone says, “I love God,” and hates his brother, he is a liar; for he who does not love his brother whom he has seen, how can he love God whom he has not seen? (1 John 4:20).

On behalf of the tenants,
