The Impact of Words: Understanding the Power of the Tongue 6-2-26

What is spoken is what it becomes.
After yesterday’s message about the power of good and the powers of evil, this came to me about the power of the tongue. The principle is the same- speaking negative carries as much weight as speaking faith words.
This is what the Word of God says:
Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it will eat its fruit (Proverbs 18:21).
For as he thinks in his heart, so is he (Proverbs 23:7).
But those things which proceed out of the mouth come from the heart, and they defile a man (Matthew 15:18). T
his really reveals the person’s true character.
Look at these two words: Death and Life-
Notice that the last part of the sentence says who love death of life shall eat its fruit. There is good fruit and there is bad fruit. good fruit is beneficial, whereas the bad fruit is not good for anybody. In fact, it can make one sick.
God spoke the world into existence: Genesis, chapter one.
When something is going on in my life and my body that is unfavorable, this is what is said to whoever the conversation is with:
“I am explaining, not complaining.”
I continually speak faith words from my mouth and eventually there is a change. The bottom line is this, we are being tested, and how we think and believe depends on the blessings we will receive.
So, If you want to receive the abundant blessings from the Lord, let your faith rise; speak life over your situation.
Christians are supposed to have the mind of Christ. But we have the mind of Christ (1 Corinthians 2:16b).
Therefore, we are to think on good things. Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy—meditate on these things (Philippians 4:8).
This is not an easy walk, but it’s worth every challenge that I face, believing by faith that I will overcome. What I say and believe becomes evident of a woman who walks by faith and not by sight (2 Corinthians 5:7).
Take notice of this:
From being scattered to unity.
When the people were trying to build the tower of Babel, the Lord confused their language they were not able to understand each other, and they were scattered.
But a few thousand of years later, on the Day of Pentecost, the Holy Spirit empowered the saints to be able to interpret the unknown language (tongues); Amazing!
God turned the entire situation around; from confusion and being scattered to understanding an unknown language and being in unity.
Please stop speaking evil things about others, but don’t let anybody stop you from speaking the truth. Many people don’t understand that prophets still speak today.
