Never Lose Hope
I received a letter from my health insurance stating that heath system I had been with since 2022 would no longer be a part of their network. This was difficult for me especially since I had several specialists. After feeling at a lost due to the change because I had a good repair with all of my doctors. However, I eventually adapted to the change.
Although the insurance company and the health system were negotiating, they did not come to an agreement. Therefore, as of April 30th people who were employed by my insurance company were extremely helpful with assisting me to find doctors within the new healthcare system.
Finally, a couple of weeks ago, I had my first appointment with the new primary care physician. He wrote five referrals for new doctors, and yesterday was my first appointment with an oncologist.
Looking back at the change that was taking place, I see God’s hand in it all. When I arrived for my appointment, it was not known to me that MD Anderson is CELEBRATING CANCER SURVIVOR WEEK, June 1-5, 2026.
I believe nothing is a mistake with God and that He used this timely situation to encourage me that the change is a good one. Many times, in life unforeseen circumstances are spung on us, but for those who love the Lord, all things work out for our good. I certainly believe it was no accident that this particular day, God had divinely appointed me to see my new oncologist. I received a good report, hallelujah!
I was so impressed and uplifted by my experience that I took a few pictures and the one that stood out the most was a pin with “Never Lose Hope” on it.
Conclusion- My hope is built on nothing less than Jesus blood and righteous; standing on the Solid Rock. Not only am I born again; cleansed by the blood of the Lamb; I am also healed by Jesus stipes (1 Peter 2:24). With that being said, "I am more than a conqueror (survivor) through Christ Jesus who loves me!!!
