I believe many of my messages are received and changes of thoughts, words and actions take place in the lives of those who are open to the truth. Warning: Whatever you learned in the past needs to change if it does not line up with the Word of God (rightly divided)-

What happens when you take a math test? If the answer is not correct, you flunk the test. Think of it the same way with the Word of God- if the Word is not rightly divided, you fail the test. How many times do you want to keep failing the test?

The Ultimate test is when  you stand before God and be judged for the works He called you to do (2 Corinthians 5:10, Romans 14:12).

Do you choose to please a person and remain in good standings with them, even when they are in error? Or do you choose to please the Lord and receive “Well Done” and be reward for your good work? God has commissioned (mandated) me to tell the born again believers that He has assigned me to minister the truth, so they will not continue to adhere to man’s tradition and doctrine.

In being commissioned by the Lord, this means that much studying and research are done. I don’t just throw words out there; my intentions are for people to be set free from erroneous teaching.

I said that to help the readers understand how important is is to walk in the truth of God’s Word- The anointing oil and it’s purpose is what will be shared today. These are symbolisms of the Holy Spirit:

When all the people were baptized, it came to pass that Jesus also was baptized; and while He prayed, the heaven was opened.  And the Holy Spirit descended in bodily form like a dove upon Him, and a voice came from heaven which said, “You are My beloved Son; in You I am well pleased (Luke 3:21-22).

The wind symbolizing His movement and guidance (John 3:8).

Cloud and Fire:

And the Lord went before them by day in a pillar of cloud to lead the way, and by night in a pillar of fire to give them light, so as to go by day and night (Exodus 13:21),

and empowerment:

Then there appeared to them divided tongues, as of fire, and one sat upon each of them. And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance (Acts 2:3). But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth (Acts 1:8).

Water symbolizes the Holy Spirit's cleansing and renewal-  not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to His mercy He saved us, through the washing of regeneration and renewing of the Holy Spirit (Titus 3:5).

This is the key verse, and it the only one in the New Testament that describes the purpose of

ree

Anointing oil, point of contact symbolic of the Holy Spirit- healing takes place: Is anyone among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord.

And the prayer of faith will save the sick, and the Lord will raise him up. And if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven. Confess your trespasses to one another, and pray for one another that you may be healed. The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much (James 5:14-16).

Remember this: the oil has no power, just as Moses’ rod had not power:  For every man threw down his rod, and they became serpents. But Aaron’s rod swallowed up their rods (Exodus 7:12); it is the power of God (the Spirit) working through the rod and the oil.

This is something that I did in the mid 1980’s – I anointed my self with oil, put oil on my windows for protection. I purchased expensive oil that was giving to certain people to use. After learning the truth, I didn’t use the oil anymore. I remember being at someone’s home and they had placed the crucifix (a catholic cross with Jesus on it) in their window; this was for protection against the evil spirits.

This is the point:

Similarity - if someone is putting oil on their windows for protection. The Word of God says He has given His angels charge over us. They protect us (Psalm 91:11). This is rightly dividing the Word of God.  Proper use of anointing oil is important; otherwise, it is not effective. Basically, it’s a waste of time. The conclusion of the matter, as with anything else that is not lining up with the Word of God there is no effectiveness; it’s like salt that lost savor, and it is good for nothing.

Prime example: Most churches do not embrace the five ministry office of apostle, prophet, evangelist, pastor, teach (Ephesians 4:11-16). How can the church grow unless it is functioning according to the Word of God? That’s why there is so much chaos in the house of God!
