Turn Back the Hands of Time 11-3-24
Greetings on this third day of November. If you didn’t turn your clocks back one hour, you’re behind time. Well, one hour is not bad; what if you missed out on a good life by reverting back to the past like; “If I would have done this or that,” or “I made a mess of my life, and if I could turn back the hand of time, things would be much different.” Trust me, it would not be any different!
I have regretted many things that were done in the past, and sometimes I’ve put myself into condemnation, or allowed the devil to put me in condemnation. There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus (Romans 8:1).
There is not one thing that we can do about the past; what is done is done. Therefore, if we cling to the past it could hinder our future. The best advice, encouragement, and words of wisdom for anyone is to let go of the negative things in your past. If the apostle Paul would have held onto the shame and guilt of persecuting the church, God’s purpose would never have been fulfilled in his life. This man Paul who did so much evil, has been noted as one of the greatest writers, and he wrote more books of the Bible than anyone.
Do you see how the Lord can take all the evil we have done and use it for His glory? So, brothers and sisters, the clock has been set back one hour, we can move forward as Paul penned it with such encouragement.
Brothers [sisters], I do not count myself to have apprehended [understand]; but one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead, I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.
There are times when our past is discussed or shared as a testimony to others for God’s glory, but we don’t dwell on it. Keep moving forward with the times, and don’t let anything set you back!
