Every child of God has ministry.

I want to share about some women who were in leadership positions. One was good and the other was bad. This is necessary before concluding the message pertaining to the role of women.

Old Testament- Deborah: Now Deborah, a prophetess, the wife of Lapidoth, was judging Israel at that time (please read Judges, chapter four).

Leader-one divinely appointed by God to be responsible and accountable to others they have charge over.

These are some women who leaders in the New Testament

Phoebe - I commend to you Phoebe our sister, who is a servant (deaconess) of the church in Cenchrea,  that you may receive her in the Lord in a manner worthy of the saints and assist her in whatever business she has need of you; for indeed she has been a helper of many and of myself also (Romans 16:1-2).

Priscilla - Greet Priscilla and Aquila, my fellow workers in Christ Jesus,  who risked their own necks for my life, to whom not only I give thanks, but also all the churches of the Gentiles. Likewise greet the church that is in their house. A teacher of Apollos and co-worker with her husband Aquila in spreading the Gospel (Romans 16:3). Notice that Pricilla was not first lady, lady, or co pastor, she was a fellow laborer of her husband.

Junia – Some scholars and AI say that Junia was a female, but this is what the Word of God says: Greet Andronicus and Junia, my fellow kinsmen and fellow prisoners. They are outstanding among the apostles, and they were in Christ before I was (Romans 16:7).

Notice that Paul called Phoebe the deaconess, sister which definitely meant that she was a female.

Old Testament ungodly leader: Jezebel's Influence from the Old Testament is referenced in the New Testament. Nevertheless, I have a few things against you, because you allow that woman Jezebel, who calls herself a prophetess, to teach and seduce My servants to commit sexual immorality and eat things sacrificed to idols. (Revelation 2:20).

New Testament ungodly leader: False Prophets –  But there were also false prophets among the people, even as there will be false teachers among you, who will secretly bring in destructive heresies, even denying the Lord who bought them, and bring on themselves swift destruction (2 Peter 2:1).

In rightly dividing the Word of truth, some women were also prophets, therefore this has to mean both male and female.
