Types and Shadows of Jesus 11-20-25

This is how Jesus was foreshadowed through types and figures- Jesus has always been but He did not appear physically on the earth until the fullness  of time. But when the fullness of the time had come, God sent forth His Son, born of a woman, born under the law (Galatians 4:4).

This is how Jesus was foreshadowed through types and figures: The Lamb that was slain and eaten for the Passover meal foreshadowed Jesus the Lamb of God who came to take away the sins of the world (John 1:29).

We don’t celebrate Passover- because  Jesus Christ sacrificed His life for us. But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot: Who verily was foreordained before the foundation of the world but was manifest in these last times for you (1 Peter 1:19-20).  And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world (Revelation 13:8).

Moses a type of Christ who delivered the Israelites from the sinful world ruled by Pharaoh/Satan who ruled Egypt; the king was a type of Satan who ruled Egypt which is symbolic of the world.

Comparison of baptism- Baptized in the Red Sea: All were baptized into Moses in the cloud and in the sea,  all were baptized into Moses in the cloud and in the sea (1 Corinthians 10:2). For by one Spirit we were all baptized into one body—whether Jews or Greeks, whether slaves or free—and have all been made to drink into one Spirit (1 Corinthians 12:13).

It is the Spirit (Holy Spirit) who baptizes un into Christ; this means new birth or to be born again. This is different than the baptism in or with the Holy Spirit with empowerment and the evidence of speaking in tongues; not the gift (1 Corinthians 12: 10), but our personal language between God and us (Acts 1:8, 2:1-4, 1 Corinthians 14: 1-20).

Do you not remember that all we who are baptized in the name of Jesus Christ, are baptized to die with him?  We are buried with him by baptism in order to die, so that in the same way as Christ was raised up from death by the glory of the Father, we also may walk in a new life (Romans 6:3-5).

So, walking through time as humans, salvation comes by this: that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart, one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation (Romans 10:9-10).

For by grace, you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast (Ephesians 2:8-9). It must be understood that no one has anything to brag about when it comes to salvation.

We did nothing to get saved; it was all God’s doing. Work mentality is not what salvation is about. However, we are called to work (serve) in our various gifts. This is called stewardship (managing what the Lord has entrusted to us. Our faithfulness is what we will be judged for (Matthew 25: 21, 23).

I will raise up for them a Prophet like you from among their brethren, and will put My words in His mouth, and He shall speak to them all that I command Him.  And it shall be that whoever will not hear My words, which He speaks in My name, I will require it of him (Deuteronomy 18:8-19). Reference scripture- (Acts 4:22-23)
