These messages are written for and to those who say things that do not line up with the Word of God; that are not in His Word. You may think it’s a small thing, but it is big when it comes to God.
How would you feel if your father told you something and you worded it to your liking? How do think God feels when any of His children say what they want to say and disregard what He says. If we speak erroneously, that is from the flesh. Since we are spiritual people; God is Spirit and we should be conducting our spiritually. Jesus only spoke what His Father told Him to say.
The Word of God is similar. We were made positionally righteous the moment the Lord saved- For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him (2 Corinthians 5:21), but we are responsible for clothing ourselves by our righteous acts. How do we clothe ourselves? The Word of God is our instructions:
But put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for the flesh, to fulfill its lusts (Romans 13:14).
Then Jesus said to them, When you lift up the Son of Man, then you will know that I am He, and that I do nothing of Myself; but as My Father taught Me, I speak these things (John 5:19). For I have not spoken on My own authority; but the Father who sent Me gave Me a command, what I should say and what I should speak (John 12:49).
Do you realize that is dishonoring and disrespecting the very God who you say is your Father? Shameful!
Why do I say that?
The Lord has everything laid out for us; all we have to do is use it. When we were a small child our mother washed and dressed us; as we grew she laid you clothes out for us to put them on; when we grew even older we were responsible for the complete process that had been done by our mother. In other words, we outgrew the childhood (immature) stage and eventually grew into adulthood (maturity/sonship).
As newborn babes, desire the pure milk of the word, that you may grow thereby (1 Peter 2:2). But solid food belongs to those who are of full age [mature/sons], that is, those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil (Hebrews 5:14).
Quoting things that are not Biblical definitely shows that the person is still on milk (a babe in Christ). And I, brethren, could not speak to you as to spiritual people but as to carnal, as to babes in Christ. I fed you with milk and not with solid food; for until now you were not able to receive it, and even now you are still not able (1 Corinthians 3:1-2).
What will happen when we meet Jesus? Did we do what our Father did (conduct ourselves in a righteous manner and say what our Father said? And I heard, as it were, the voice of a great multitude, as the sound of many waters and as the sound of mighty thunderings, saying,
“Alleluia! For the Lord God Omnipotent reigns! Let us be glad and rejoice and give Him glory, for the marriage of the Lamb has come, and His wife has made herself ready.”
And to her it was granted to be arrayed in fine linen, clean and bright, for the fine linen is the righteous acts of the saints (Revelation 19:6-8).
When you read the upcoming messages about things said that people think are Biblical correct, please know that God is not pleased. We have been commanded to study; by doing so we can say what is God’s Word correctly (2 Timothy 2:15); then and only then will we grow in grace and the knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ (2 Peter 3:18).
