What a Fellowship, What a Joy Divine 8-2-26

How Good and Pleasant is it for brothers and sisters to bond in unity.

Yesterday, I posted a short video of the International praise dancers, since today is Sunday, let’s have a Word.

On Sunday, July 26, 2026, I was blessed to travel with some family to an annual “International Day” that my family’s church in Philadelphia and Abundant Life come together for joint worship. The service was a blessing

from the beginning to the end with a picnic.

The first part of the meal was praise, worship and the Word were meat for our souls; which was preparation for the physical meal. The various food from different nations was truly delectable. A combination of everything was completely fulfilling.

Backtracking- everyone was so accommodating, from the parking lot to the entrance and once inside the big and beautiful sanctuary, people were greeting others and that really made one feel so comfortable; one would never feel put of place at Abundant Life.

There was a word of encouragement pertaining to the occasion by one of the elders from Living Word Community in Philly. Once thee pastor went to the podium, he added flavor. I was impressed to hear that more than forty nations are united with the church.

The pastor gave some pointers about God’s kingdom culture; the same country- different kinds of food, different clothing, but we all put on the armor of praise because we are warriors of the Kingdom of God. (Ephesians 6). I will piggy back on that verse: And from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffers violence, and the violent take it by force (Matthew 11:12).

The entire setting was befitting for the occasion- “International Day” of fellowship with so many different nations and cultures, yet all were united in Christ. The pastor also tied a song in with the occasion- “Leaning on the Everlasting Arms” What a fellowship, what a joy divine; leaning on the Everlasting Arms. What a blessedness what a peace is mine; leaning on the Everlasting Arms…..

The fellowship was joyous and long to be remembered. All glory, honor and praise to our God Almighty!

FYI- God is so good; we were some of the last ones to leave, and the Lord orchestrated circumstances for me to meet the pastor. We had a short conversation and I told him what a blessing it was to be a part of the fellowship and I also told him that something would be posted which was yesterday and today.

Take away- Not only did the church publicize an invitation to the event, but they also thanked everyone publicly for attending.

Praising God for allowing me to be there. God bless both churches who have been united in a Psalm 133:1, for many years.
