What is Idolatry? 6-4-25

Some of you may not understand why I write certain messages. This is not to offend anyone and it is not personal, but it is for you to consider what is written. The theme of my ministry is “Setting the Captives Free;” which is to help open the eyes of those who are involved in certain practices. I have friends and family who are loyal to certain organizations. Even still, I must write what is given to me.

Merriam-Webster Dictionary: Idolatry- the worship of a physical object as a god; immoderate attachment or devotion to something.

Placing allegiance to, pledging, being loyal to any ungodly practices, even if it’s thought to be good is wrong for born again believers to be involved in. Please check the source. If a  Christian involves themselves in anything that will cause them to have prestige, to be looked up to be careful because that is pride. Some of the groups are called secret society. Think about it, why is anything secret?

The definition of secret- not known or seen or not meant to be known or seen by others. It means to hide something!

Why would a born again believer hide anything? Our lives should be open books (letters, epistles) for others to read. As a matter of fact, you and I may be the only Bible some people will read. Do you want people to think it’s okay to be involved in a secret (hidden) organization?

Aren’t we told to be followers of Christ and imitate Him? Did Jesus keep secrets? Jesus answered him, “I spoke openly to the world. I always taught in synagogues and in the temple, where the Jews always meet, and in secret I have said nothing” (John 18:20). Jesus lived a life of transparency, and so should all of us who belong to Him.

For years, I have been searching out what these groups are about, and I also challenged some pastors, deacons, trustees (not in the Bible), and other members in the church; I was asked by one person how did I obtain the information, and I told the person that the Spirit of God led me to different sources. When this was addressed, these people still held on to this ungodly influence.

After many years of sitting quietly and not addressing it on a broader platform, just recently the Lord used someone to connect me with someone else and from that, and seeking the Lord in prayer, I was directed to present it like this. I am asking each reader to go to a site that has dug much deeper into these fraternal organizations. My assignment is to openly post this message and be a part of uncovering the eyes of God’s people who have been blinded and deceived.

All you need to do is Renounce- abandon, formally give it up. Denounce-  Don’t be ashamed to publicly tell others, so they too can be set free- And you shall know the truth and the truth shall make you make you free. Therefore, if the Son makes you free, you shall be free indeed (John 8:32, 36)..

And say: “I’ll say yes Lord, to Your will and to Your way, I’ll say yes Lord, I will trust and obey” Helping to break the chains (yokes of bondage)!
