Although the statement was made: “You don’t who God called; that’s His business;" this was meant for immature or baby Christians who have been developed enough in the new life to discern what is what, who is who, and what is good and evil. But solid food belongs to those who are of full age, that is, those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil. (Hebrews 5:14)
After reading about what is posted on Facebook, it is a sign that the basics of Christianity and spiritual principles have not been taught? Several things could be a factor: they don’t know themselves; they have not been called; or they don’t care about the flock.
The more I dig and search out, the more the Spirit of God is revealing to me, He is prompting me to write to Christians. So many fakes, impostors, religious hypocrites have surfaced, Jesus said to beware of them.
We know that the elect cannot be deceived because we have the Spirit of God living in us, and regardless how far we may veer off course our destination has already been determined by God. You can’t lose your salvation, but there are eternal consequences.
For instance, do they encourage you to fulfill God’s purpose in your life? Do they tell you that every member of the body of Christ is important, not just the pastor.
Do they tell you that there are rewards for doing what God has called you to do?
At the time I resided in New Jersey in the early 1990’s I was lying down, and the Lord gave three words in a vision- rudiments, pseudo, elementary.
This is what the words mean: Rudiments- First principles (an elementary form of something). The reason there is no growth in many churches is due to the lack of training.
Elementary- basic - ABC’s of Christianity. Our first few years of schooling were called elementary. We needed basic education in order to go on to middle school, and to high school; for some formal education which would make one more successful. This is the same principle in the spirit realm. There is a process when it comes to our spiritual growth and it should be progressive.
Pseudo- hidden, false – Once I knew what the word meant, it was quite understandable why the Lord gave it to me. One of the definitions - a person who makes deceitful pretenses. Pseudo is something or someone fake trying to pass as the real thing — a fraud or impostor. I knew the Lord was going to have me to confront and expose the evil that was and is happening in His church.
I had taken a year leave of absence from the church where I was associate minister. What I thought was going to be a year ended up being permanent. I took some friends to a church and the very first Sunday we attended the pastor was starting a series on: The ABC’s of Christianity. Remember the rudiments and elementary (first principles, basics).
A short time later I met with the pastor and told him what was revealed to me in New Jersey, and the Spirit told me to sit under his teaching for a year, because he confirmed what was revealed to me about rudiments and elementary (basic) of Christianity.. The pastor and I knew each other; we ministered at funeral programs and I had ministered at funerals at his church.
After attending that church, I moved on to another church and later on to New Jersey.
Since Facebook is one of the platforms the Lord uses for me to post messages, I see so much that it tells me many people are not being taught the basics. Some peoples’ posts on Facebook indicates what spiritual level they are at.
Example: They post a scripture, but they do not explain what it means because they don’t understand it themselves, while others post and explain in error because they don’t understand what the Word of God means. This is because they lean to their own understanding. (Proverbs 3:5-6).
Many times, I have been misunderstood, and that happens because some people don’t understand nor do they accept certain gifts. That will not stop me from doing what I have been called to do.
